W.R.C.-World Rally Championship- Cyprus Rally
The Cyprus Rally is considered one of the most difficult of the world championship and all the popular
professional drivers take place such as Colin McRae. The rally takes place during the last weekend of April or
in September.
Paphos Opera
The Paphos Castle yearly hosts an opera from various countries of the world at the picturesque paphos harbour.
The event takes place at the beginning week of September.
Cataclysmos (Festival Of Floods)
The ceremonies take place at saeaside resorts. They include folk dancing and singing, boat races, swimming
competitions and much more. The festivals take place 50 days after easter (June 13th -16th ).
Limassol Wine Festival
This is held the first week of September (1/9-9/9) in the municipal gardens of Limassol. At the festival
folklore dancing and various other dancing shows are available as also one can taste various types of wines .
Curium Amphitheatre- Shakespearean Nights
In unique surroundings with spectacular views of the sea at the Curium theatre the Shakespearen nights take
place usually in mid June.
Flower Festival
The flower festival (Anthestiria) where held in ancient Greece every four years to honour the God Dionysos. The
flower parades take place in Limassol, Larnaka and Paphos in the spring.
Ancient Greek Drama
Ancient Greek Drama takes place in the Paphos Ancient Odeon around the end of July.
